WHAT CAP CONSULTANTS DO

CAP CONSULTANTS are our sustainability advisers. They work with Production & Location Managers to offer advice, options & local services so that the production’s needs are met whilst also achieving best sustainability practice in the following categories:

Travel

Flying

Power

Waste/Recycling

PRE PRODUCTION

Best practice is to involve a CAP Consultant when your production is green lit, introducing them to the production & location managers so they can assist with green solutions to save time & money. They would -

 

  • Use our green database for national and local green alternatives

  • Provide green solutions for locations and studios choices

  • Assist with offering green practises for facilities

  • Attend Tech Recce in anticipation of sourcing and preparing green practises on production

  • Prepare the shoot to be as carbon aware as possible

SHOOT & STRIKE

CAP CONSULTANTS work with & for Production to alleviate pressures on shoot and strike days and make the production carbon aware. Jobs include:

​

  • POWER Assist at base and on location & studio re how to power equipment in the most efficient manner, specifically with facilities and craft services.

  • CATERING Work with the caterers to provide green solutions and an efficient area for recycling waste.

  • WASTE Set up manned recycling stations to ensure best practice and monitor throughout the production.

  • REDISTRIBUTE excess food and resources locally via online networks.

  • LOCAL: Assist production with local services to reduce travel and costs.

  • MONITOR The shoot for CAP sustainability report.

SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

After the shoot, the CAP Consultant will provide a sustainability report. The importance of this will be to measure the production’s carbon footprint, identify where & how savings were made & advise on how to acknowledge unavoidable emissions. ​​
