“As the old adage goes, the best time to plant trees is 20 years ago, and the second best time is now.”

Robert Thornhill Great Longstone farmer

Landscape Trees is an initiative being run by our partners at the Peak District National Park Foundation to help farmers in the White Peak plant standalone trees and small copses on their grazed land, linking isolated woodlands and creating essential wildlife corridors that support biodiversity.

Trees like this are not funded by national planting schemes but are vital to help nature thrive - so your support is invaluable.

In time the trees will provide shade and shelter for livestock and crops, enrich the soil & turn bare fields into hotspots for birds & bats.

The trees will be planted by volunteers in the Winter 26/27.
